Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last updated September 22, 2026

This Policy applies to paid products and services sold through Dock, including monthly subscriptions, Ad Credits, and any legacy one-time or lifetime entitlement that remains active.

1. General Refund Rule

Except where a refund, reversal, credit, or other remedy is required by applicable law, required to correct a confirmed billing error or unauthorized transaction, or expressly approved by Dock, properly authorized payments are final and non-refundable.

Dock does not ordinarily provide a refund solely because a user:

  • changed their mind;
  • stopped using Dock;
  • forgot to cancel;
  • did not use all of a paid billing period;
  • no longer needs a feature; or
  • was validly restricted for a serious or repeated Terms violation.

Nothing in this Policy waives a consumer or payment right that applicable law or mandatory payment-network rules do not permit Dock to waive.

2. Monthly Subscriptions and Cancellation

Unless checkout states otherwise, a Dock monthly subscription renews automatically until canceled.

The price, billing interval, automatic-renewal nature, and cancellation method will be shown at or before checkout.

You may cancel using the online cancellation method Dock makes available, such as the Dock dashboard or Stripe Customer Portal.

To prevent the next renewal, cancellation must become effective before that renewal is processed.

After cancellation:

  • future renewals stop;
  • paid access ordinarily continues through the period already paid for; and
  • unused time does not create a prorated-refund right unless applicable law requires one.

3. Billing Errors and Unauthorized Charges

Contact Dock if you reasonably believe you were:

  • charged twice for the same purchase;
  • charged an amount different from what you authorized;
  • charged after a cancellation should already have become effective; or
  • charged without the payment-method holder's authorization.

If Dock confirms an error, Dock may correct, reverse, or refund the affected charge as appropriate.

Do not send full payment-card numbers, passwords, API keys, or session credentials to Dock.

4. Refund Requests

Refund requests that require Dock review may be submitted through Dock's available billing/support workflow or to [email protected].

Where Dock approves a refund, the refund may be issued manually by the authorized payment-account operator through the payment processor. Processing time after issuance depends on the payment processor, payment network, and issuing financial institution.

Dock may request enough information to locate and evaluate the transaction.

5. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

A payment dispute or chargeback may temporarily suspend the affected paid entitlement while the payment is reversed or the dispute is pending.

A good-faith exercise of a legal consumer right or legitimate payment-card right is not fraudulent merely because the user disputes a charge.

If Dock reasonably determines after review that a payment dispute, refund scheme, or payment method was knowingly used fraudulently or to obtain Services without payment, Dock may restrict the affected account or paid features and retain limited records where permitted.

6. Ad Credits

Purchased Ad Credits are not legal tender and are not redeemable for cash except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Purchased credits are ordinarily non-refundable except for a confirmed billing or ledger error or where law requires a remedy.

Promotional or complimentary credits have no cash value.

7. Legacy One-Time and Lifetime Entitlements

A valid legacy entitlement remains subject to the material terms applicable when it was purchased, Dock's Terms, and applicable law.

"Lifetime" refers to the operational lifetime of the applicable Dock product or entitlement unless the original offer expressly stated otherwise.

A legacy purchase does not become refundable merely because Dock later stops offering the same purchase type to new users. Mandatory legal remedies remain unaffected.

8. Service Changes and Termination

Temporary outages, maintenance, rate limits, or third-party platform incidents do not automatically create a refund right.

If Dock permanently discontinues a material paid service, terminates access, or otherwise creates circumstances for which applicable law requires a refund, credit, repeat performance, or other remedy, the legally required remedy controls.

9. Price Changes and Failed Payments

Dock may change subscription prices prospectively. Existing subscribers will receive any notice required by applicable law before a higher recurring amount is charged.

If a recurring payment fails, Dock or the payment processor may retry the charge according to the configured billing system and applicable law. Dock may suspend or downgrade paid access while payment remains outstanding.
